Connect a wallet

Connect a browser wallet so the terminal can show your address. Detion only reads it and never asks for a transaction.

On this page

Connecting a wallet is optional. You can browse every market without one. A connected wallet unlocks two things: the Open trading app button on the ticket, and the option to link your trading account.

Connect#

  1. Choose Connect Wallet at the top right of the terminal.
  2. Pick your wallet from the list. Detion lists the browser wallets it detects.
  3. Approve the connection request in your wallet.

The button then shows a green dot and your shortened address. Detion asks for your address and the network you are on, and nothing else.

No wallet found?#

If no wallet is detected, the dialog says so. Install an Ethereum browser wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby, then reopen the dialog. Wallets that were installed after the page loaded may need a page refresh to appear.

The wallet menu#

Choose your address in the top bar to open the wallet menu:

  • The wallet's name and the network you are on.
  • Copy your address.
  • Link trading account or Unlink trading account, with the linked address shown when a session is active.
  • Open trading app to open the trading app in a new tab.
  • Disconnect.

Reconnecting#

Detion remembers which wallet you last connected. When you come back, it quietly re-attaches to that wallet if the wallet still has the site approved. No popup appears. If the wallet no longer shares an account, you will see Connect Wallet again.

If you switch accounts or networks inside your wallet, the terminal updates automatically. If your wallet removes the account, Detion disconnects.

Disconnect#

Choose Disconnect in the wallet menu. This forgets the remembered wallet and ends any linked trading account session. You may also want to remove the site's access inside your wallet's own settings.
