Perpetuals

A candle chart, live order book, trade feed, funding and open interest for each perpetual market.

On this page

A perpetual (perp) tracks the price of an underlying without an expiry date. The Perps view gives you the market context in one screen and the ticket beside it.

Layout#

  • Header. Choose the market from the menu. The market name, such as ETH-PERP, sits beside it.
  • Stats strip. Key numbers for the market, described below.
  • Chart. Candles for the selected interval and range.
  • Book and Trade Feed. The live order book and the latest trades.
  • Order ticket. The order ticket in perp mode, to the right or in a bottom sheet on smaller screens.

Stats#

24h ChangeChange in the index price over the last 24 hours.
24h High / LowThe highest and lowest prices over the last 24 hours.
Funding (1h)The funding rate for one hour. Positive means longs pay shorts, negative means shorts pay longs.

24h VolumePerp trading volume over the last 24 hours, in dollars.

Funding is explained in Perps and funding.

The chart#

Pick a candle interval at the top of the chart: 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h or 1D. Pick a range at the bottom: 1D, 1W, 1M, 3M or 1Y. Move the pointer over the chart to bring up a crosshair.

Book and Trade Feed#

The Book lists asks above and bids below, with the mid price and spread between them. Each row shows the price, the size at that price and the running total from the best price outward. A shaded bar behind each row grows with the total.

Click a row to fill the ticket. Clicking an ask sets the side to buy at that price. Clicking a bid sets it to sell. The Trade Feed lists recent prints with their time, price and size, coloured by direction.

On smaller screens#

At 1100 pixels wide and below, a Chart / Book / Account switch replaces the side-by-side layout. The ticket moves into a bottom sheet that you open from the Trade bar above the status bar.
